What the CSPP™ exam asks of you

The CSPP™ — Certified Sustainable Project Professional, certified by PMI with GPM — runs in two versions. Hold an active PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, IPMA or comparable credential and you sit 100 questions in 120 minutes. Coming without one, you sit 145 questions in 175 minutes. Both are multiple choice, taken at a Pearson VUE test centre or online with remote proctoring.

P5 is the heaviest domain on either route — around 31 marked questions whichever paper you sit. Study time spread evenly across the domains leaves the heaviest one underdone, and the 145-question route shifts weight into PRiSM and project management considerations as well.

On the passing score

PMI does not publish a fixed passing percentage for the CSPP™. Scoring is psychometric, so any percentage quoted elsewhere is worth treating with caution. What you can measure is whether you answer to a consistent standard across every domain, which is what a readiness score is for. Regeneration sets its own readiness target at 70% across every domain — high enough that you are leaning on preparation rather than on a good morning.

Three attempts inside a one-year eligibility period. Certification runs on a three-year cycle and renews with 30 PDUs. Checked against the PMI CSPP Exam Content Outline (2026) and gpm.org in August 2026.

Questions people ask before buying

Which pathway does it cover?

Both. Inside, you choose the Certified or Non-Certified Practitioner pathway and your practice follows that pathway’s published exam outline — you can switch whenever you like. Certified is five domains, 100 questions in 120 minutes; non-certified is six domains, 145 questions in 175 minutes.

Is it included with the Regeneration courses?

Yes. Founding cohort learners get the Bundle with their course seat, as part of their enrolment. This page is for people preparing for the exam independently.

How do the live coaching sessions work?

Online group sessions every two weeks. Bring the questions you got wrong or the concepts that will not settle; sessions run every second Thursday at 19:00 Irish time — sessions start in September, and the next two are 3 and 17 September 2026 — and joining details are inside the course.

Are these the official exam questions?

No — and be wary of anyone claiming to sell those. Every question here is based on the P5 Standard, the Practice Guide and the GPM training materials, so what you practise is what the exam asks of you.

Is the official exam included?

No. The Bundle is Regeneration’s independent practice and coaching product — it prepares you for the exam and does not include the exam itself or a voucher. The official CSPP™ exam comes from GPM with PMI: it is included with Regeneration course seats, or you arrange it directly if you are self-studying.

What if I change my mind?

You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not opened the course. Opening it starts your access straight away and ends the cooling-off period — details in our refund policy.

Can I claim PDUs for the coaching sessions?

Regeneration is an Accredited Training Provider with GPM, not with PMI — so we do not issue PMI PDUs. If you hold a PMI credential, PMI’s CCR system lets you self-report relevant learning as education hours, and we provide an attendance record stating your hours to support whatever you choose to claim. The CSPP™ credential itself renews with GPM: 30 PDUs over three years.

My course already came with an exam voucher. Why would I need this?

The voucher gets you into the exam. It says nothing about whether you would pass it. Your training covered the material; the Bundle measures what stayed. Your voucher runs twelve months — time enough to prepare properly, and time enough to let the date drift.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The Practice Hub runs in a browser on a phone, a tablet or a laptop, so a ten-minute practice test fits a commute or a lunch break.

What if the gaps run deeper than revision?

Then the practice tests will show it, and revision is the wrong tool. Bring it to a live coaching session and we will work out whether the certification course is the better route for you.

Do I need to be a Regeneration student?

No. The Bundle stands on its own for anyone preparing for the CSPP™ exam, whichever provider trained you.

What happens after I pay?

Two emails arrive within a few minutes. Your receipt comes first, branded Regeneration. Your course access comes second, from our course delivery platform Mini Course Generator (noreply@minicoursegenerator.com) — that’s the one with your “View Course” button, so do check spam if it’s shy. Click it, and you’re in.

How many questions are on the CSPP™ exam?

100 if you hold an active PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, IPMA or comparable credential; 145 if you do not. Of those, 85 and 130 respectively are marked — the remainder are unscored pretest items.

How long is the CSPP™ exam?

120 minutes for the 100-question route and 175 minutes for the 145-question route. The longer paper includes a ten-minute break.

What is the passing score for the CSPP™ exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed passing percentage. Scoring is psychometric, so a percentage target would mislead you. Practising to a consistent standard across every domain is the dependable way to judge readiness.

Do I need a PMP to sit the CSPP™ exam?

No. An active PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, IPMA or comparable credential puts you on the shorter 100-question route with 12 hours of prior training. Without one, you sit 145 questions and need 20 hours.

Can I sit the CSPP™ exam online?

Yes. It runs at a Pearson VUE test centre or online with remote proctoring. PMI recommends the test centre.

How many times can I retake the CSPP™ exam?

Three attempts inside a one-year eligibility period.

How long does CSPP™ certification last?

Three years. Renewal takes 30 PDUs across the cycle.

Is CSPP™ the same as GPM-b?

It is the same credential under a new name. GPM-b became CSPP™, and existing GPM-b holders can move across at no cost and without sitting the exam again. Since PMI and GPM formed their joint venture in 2025 the credential is co-branded PMI® GPM®.

What is the P5 Standard?

GPM’s framework for measuring a project’s impact across People, Planet, Prosperity, Process and Product, read through five lenses — lifespan, servicing, efficiency, effectiveness and fairness. Version 4.0 arrived in 2026 as a substantial revision, so older prep material can mislead you.

What is PRiSM?

Projects integrating Sustainable Methods — GPM’s project delivery life cycle, and Domain II of the exam.

Which CSPP™ domain carries the most marks?

Domain III, the P5 Standard and impact analysis: 36% of the 100-question paper, around 31 of the 85 marked questions.

Where can I prepare for the CSPP™ exam in Ireland?
